Mark Skidmore
Mark Skidmore is am entrepreneur, political strategist and ad maker. He is currently a Partner and Chief Strategist at Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI). Mark has helped grow BPI into a market leader in politics, public affairs and corporate reputation and opened the firm’s New York City office. His award winning work has helped power some of the most important political contests and issue advocacy campaigns of the past decade.
Mark led the digital marketing launch for Barack Obama’s campaign for re-election. He was a senior advisor to Elizabeth Warren’s campaign for Senate, Rahm Emanuel’s campaign for Mayor and Andrew Cuomo’s re-election campaign. During the 2008 election he pioneered the use of digital media in politics developing new techniques for supporter recruitment, rapid response and reputation management. His other work includes: LIVESTRONG, ACLU Marylander’s for Marriage Equality, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Qualcomm, the U.S. Olympic Committee, American Red Cross and Google.
Prior to BPI Mark was Head of Advertising for Blue State Digital the technology firm behind Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign. Earlier in his career Mark directed online advertising campaigns for Nike across Europe and North America. Mark studied Fine Arts at NYU.
