I Voted?

Most people assume that American elections get it right. We mark our ballot and away it disappears for counting, tallied by reliable systems. At least that’s what we hope. But how do we know? What are the specific mechanics of capturing & recording ballots? As America shifts toward a greater reliance on electronic voting, where are the assurances of accuracy and security? Few citizens realize that American elections offer scant guarantee that votes are recorded as intended. While democracy does not begin with elections, it can end when we fail to protect them. ‘I Voted?’ is a feature length, non-partisan documentary which examines America’s voting systems. It asks the fundamental question, ‘How do we know our votes count?’ The answer is both surprising and disturbing.
