Darryl Holter

Darryl Holter is a historian who has written on labor, business and politics. He is also a musician whose recent album, Radio Songs: Woody Guthrie in Los Angeles, 1937-1941, was released to critical acclaim. Holter is the co-author, with William Deverell, of a new book, Woody Guthrie in LA, 1937-1941, published by Angel City Press in 2016. He is an Adjunct Professor in History at the University of Southern California, a member of Professional Musicians Local 47 in Los Angeles, and a co-owner of Chevalier’s Books, the oldest independent bookstore in LA.
