Jackie Alemany

Jacqueline Alemany is the anchor of The Washington Post’s “Power Up,” a forthcoming early-morning newsletter that will feature news critical to the nation’s many power centers, including the White House, Capitol Hill, government agencies, the Pentagon and more.

Previously, Alemany covered the White House for CBS News since President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Prior to that, she was a digital journalist on the 2016 presidential campaign trail. She also has worked as a digital producer for “60 Minutes” and a broadcast associate for the CBS Sunday show, “Face the Nation.”

Alemany is a 2017 African Great Lakes fellow at The International Women’s Media Foundation and serves on the leadership council of PeacePlayers International, a non-profit that uses basketball to unite and educate children around the world.

Before joining CBS in 2012, Alemany studied government at Harvard University, where she was captain of the women’s basketball team.
