Jody Avirgan makes podcasts for FiveThirtyEight, the data-journalism site founded by Nate Silver and owned by ESPN. He hosts the FiveThirtyEight Elections podcast and the weekly show What’s the Point, which looks at how data and algorithms affect our lives.

Before joining FiveThirtyEight, he was a producer and reporter at WNYC/NPR radio in New York City. He’s worked with On The Media, Freakonomics, Radiolab and others. He hosts the comedy/storytelling show Ask Roulette, with regular live shows in New York City and occasional shows elsewhere.
