Los Angeles World Affairs Council
The Los Angeles World Affairs Council is Southern California’s largest foreign affairs forum. Founded in 1953, the Council is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization whose mission is to engage Americans with the outside world. The Council hosts over 70 events per year, including speaker series, debates, foreign film screenings and high-level conferences. It also has an outreach program to bring in public high school students to events. LAWAC members are part of a vibrant, globally-minded community that cares deeply about international affairs and current events.
