Rick Tyler is Co-Founder of Foundry Strategies, a political, strategic, and communications consulting firm specializing in helping their political and corporate clients reach their leadership potential by honing their communications skills. He is currently a Political Analyst for the MSNBC Cable News Network.

As the National Spokesman and Communications Director for Cruz for President, Rick was a senior member of Senator Ted Cruz’s 2016 campaign team. Before joining the Cruz for President campaign, Rick was an executive with The Strategy Group Company, an award winning nationally recognized political advertising and media placement firm.

In the 2012 election cycle, Rick served as senior advisor and spokesman for Winning Our Future, a pro-Newt Gingrich for President Super PAC. As a member of the senior leadership team, Rick provided strategic advice on all aspects of the effort to help Newt Gingrich secure the Republican nomination for President. Prior to joining the PAC, Rick was a key member of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich’s team for more than a decade serving as Gingrich’s advisor and spokesman.

Rick has lead political education and training programs for federal, state and local candidates and political activists. As lead trainer for GOPAC and trainer for the Leadership Institute, Rick has trained hundreds of candidates, their staffs, and volunteers to lead successful campaigns for elected office in 26 different states.

Rick has been invited to speak about his political insights by many conservative groups, committees and state legislative caucuses. He was a guest lecturer at both the Institute for Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and the Robert J. Dole Institute for Politics at the University of Kansas.
